Next week we hold autumn term Parents’ Evenings; please sign up for an appointment, it is really important you can see and hear about your child’s progress. These meetings will take place on Tuesday 28th and Thursday 30th November. Appointments are available via Arbor; please do sign up to meet with your child’s class teacher and see their achievements and what they need to be working on next. We can arrange for translators for you if necessary.

Book Fair: the book fair will be in school everyday next week. The fair will be in the gallery and can be accessed through the main hall on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

On Tuesday and Thursday you can visit the fair before or after the meeting with your child’s teacher.

The times for the book fair are as follows:

Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 3.15 to 4.00pm

Tuesday and Thursday: 3.15 to 6.00pm

Paying for the books: the best way to pay for a book is to purchase a voucher. This can be done by visiting the Scholastic website. Vouchers come in varying amounts and when you have a confirmation email this can be shown to the adult who will be selling the books. Go to…The Day of the Fair section of the website:

Also, there is an option to pay using a QR code but this is a little more complicated. We can take cash payments for books but it is much better if you pay with the methods outlined above.

Book bags: these will be sold as part of the book fair and this is cash only; £5 each. We are aiming for 100% of children at Kender to have a book bag by next Friday…!

Olive Dining taster sessions: these have been planned to coincide with parents' evenings and will happen in the main hall.

School Uniform Exchange/Swap: also, in the Multi-Purpose room during the parent evenings the PTA have organised a school uniform exchange. If your child needs another jumper pop into see what is available.
