Today Year Six visited Tate Modern to view the Ilya and Emilia Kabakov exhibition ‘Not everyone will be taken into the future’. They are amongst the most celebrated artists of their generation, widely known for their large-scale installations and use of fictional personas. They are critical of the conventions of art history and drawing upon the visual culture of the former Soviet Union – from dreary communal apartments to propaganda art and its highly optimistic depictions of Soviet life – their work examines universal ideas of utopia and fantasy; hope and fear.

We had fun swinging in the Turbine Hall.  Each swing has been designed for three people by Danish artists’ collective SUPERFLEX. Swinging with two other people has greater potential than swinging alone and One Two Three Swing! invites you to realise this potential together. Swinging as three, collective energy resists gravity and challenges the laws of nature.

We surveyed all of London from the top floor of the new Blavatnik Building which is an open viewing terrace. It boasts 360-degree views of the London Skyline.
