Parking and 20mph
No stopping on the zig-zag lines. Help protect our children!!!
Twice in the last week it has been brought to my attention that too many parents/carers, at either ends of the school day, are stopping and waiting on the zig-zag lines outside the school. This must stop!
The lines are there for a reason, and the reason is to keep children safe from road accidents.
Here is an email I received this weekend:
I sometimes collect my children from Kender primary school at the end of the school day. I am becoming more and more concerned about drivers also picking up children parking directly outside the school on yellow zig zag lines, which are there to stop people parking so drivers can have a good view of children going to and from school. Can I suggest you place multiple small objects outside both sides of the school keeping all children safe as can be . Thanks for taking time to read this e mail.
Also, it is being reported that too many vehicles are driving along Kender street over the 20mph borough wide speed limit. If you see vehicles speeding please inform us and we'll pass on details to the Community Police team.
